Our history

The Norwood Cricket Club was established in season 1959-60 by Mr David Jamieson, the then Sports Master of Norwood Secondary School, in North Ringwood, Victoria, Australia. We played at the high school under the name of the Norwood High School cricket club. Adopteding the school colours of Royal Purple and Gold and the school’s “fidelis” logo.

The move to Mullum Mullum
In 1970 Norwood made the move from Norwood High School to Mullum Mullum Reserve, changing our Name to Norwood Cricket Club at the same time.
1st Eleven began playing at Mullum on a share basis with the St Andrews CC in the 1980 season and the club changed its name to the Norwood Cricket Club in that season.

Evolution of the game
Purchased a half share of the Kevin Pratt pavilion for $5000 from the Norwood Football club in 1983 and gained access to the social room only.
Gained full control of Mullum 1 when St Andrews moved to Manson reserve in 1985/6.
